I'm liking most of these ideas so far. And I do appreciate item names and especially descriptions too - if you can muster them, that is.
To give everyone an idea of what I'm liking best so far, MoreThanThree and Pleiade's ideas are among my favorites so far (but I like several others here as well!).
And while it is not my intention to say anyone's idea is not my favorite, I state the following just to just to kind of explain my thought processes when looking to implement any of these:
DarkRanger's idea is probably a bit too complex and Hellstrom's idea would be a bit unbalancing. I'm not saying that either won't ever be done but in looking at these from a design perspective and how they fit into the PW, the complexity of DarkRanger's may need to be reduced and the special ability of Hellstrom's would need to be severely limited (maybe even made just a one-time thing that consumes the belt, as a potential option).

I thought my idea might be a bit complex, so maybe I'll just suggest one part of it:
Fiendish contract
Written in the Infernal language, this contract stipulates that party A, a powerful tanr'ri of the hells, shall in exchange for considerations specified in Article B Clause 20, fight on behalf of party B, you, at the time of your choosing. Signed by the both of you, in blood, you're certain that the devil will honor his or her end, but you can't help but look it over occasionally, wondering not if but how you'll end up screwed in the deal.
Summons a tanar'ri(unsure what type, something not useless but not absurdly overpowering), single use
Could possibly be a quest reward item, and/or something unobtainable except from a dm.

Flight Harness Boots
"Recruits keep falling off their gryphons, and I'm starting to get sick of having to order their entrails removed from my rooftop. I begin to think they do this on purpose to spite me." Thus spoke Tharchion Valerios Theokillos' antecessor in his vainglorious memoirs, in reference to flight practice sessions enacted by the Gryphon Legion. Whether he was correct or not as to the suicidal intentions of his elite force, his efforts to keep his roof free of crushed bodies have resulted in a commission to the Red Wizards and the creation of these boots, now held as instrumental devices in the training of recruits unused to flying mounts. Designed so as to connect to the gryphon's saddle, keep the rider firmly mounted and enchanted so as to help the rider stay at a firm vertical level when necessary, they have aided significantly in keeping mortality rates from dropping below the occasional serious accident among the Gryphon Legion - something the Tharchion's slaves have learned to quietly appreciate.
+3 Discipline
+3 Ride
Immunity to Knockdown, 1 turn

With respect to the staff, currently playing a druid I would maybe recommend some changes or even a few versions. Polymorph spell really not needed as the druid can assume animal and eventually elemental form. Animal empathy bonus has a few items out there and can be added to anything. There is the Nature's Gift which is useful for healing. A better staff for defense for those who do not use blades or wish to switch.
Silvanus' Gift
Usable only by followers of Silvanus( rangers and druids)
+2 enhancement bonus
+2 discipline bonus
Cure Serious Wounds 3/use Daily
Silvanus' Battle Staff
Usable only by followers of Silvanus(rangers and druids)
+2 enhancement
+1 elemental damages (can toggle fire, acid, divine and electric) 1 use daily
Cure serious wounds 3 use daily

Wouldn't it be less redundant for the item's properties to be Improved Universal Saves +2?

Yes I agree. Maybe have weight reduction amount like 30% or AC +5

My suggestion:
Ohgma's Encyclopedia of Thay
Frustrated by the terrible disorganization of libraries throughout Thay which made it next to impossible to research simple facts and tidbits of knowledge, an acolyte of Ohgma compiled this handy reference tome.
+5 Lore
3x/day Allows User to attempt a Research check as though in a library to obtain Research Notes for quests given by NPC's, bypassing the need to rest between each of these three research attempts.
Weight of item: 10 lbs. (or maybe even 15 lbs.) Since a large tome shouldn't be light.

My vote for best suggestion. Useful without being overpowering, and not another combat related item.

I have to agree, this is a wonderful suggestion! I have a few more ideas, will see if they stick to the wall. Combat and non-combat related. We need to show some love to non-combat oriented folks, nay?
