Yes, Thay has slavery, drugs, and brothels.
Even though one of my characters would joyfully pole-dance on the far side of the good taste line, I (the player) would prefer to skirt the limits. In game, the line can be judged by the reactions of the individuals he converses with ... mostly.
I would like Maurice to post a notice on the town message boards in regards to what happened during the event which took place on the eve of November 8, 2012.
The temple of Loviatar was destroyed. Even though he's not really a worshiper, he pretends for the sake of the temple parties. Now that it is gone, he'd like to keep the parties going.
I'd like Maurice to post a notice along the lines of ... arrangements have been made with Unul Camoran to rent a suitable space (backroom of The Retreat or some warehouse) ... Dom's will meet on such and such a day with Sub's arriving an hour later to allow prep time, masochists are scheduled for such and such time, the candlewax coalition will continue to meet on schedule, knot-tying lessons and the communal orgies will be at ... yada, yada. Until an actual member of the clergy can be found alive, the regular Candle Rites and Rites of Pain and Purity will be headed up by "make-up name" (one of Camaron's prostitutes).
No actual events would occur, of course. Just flavor to be left in the background.
Is this acceptable to the GM's, PTB's, and players?
If it is, I would like the first DM spotting Maurice online to accept the first monthly fee of say 200 talons to be collected for the rental of space, and another 3000 talons to be collected from the character towards the temple's reconstruction fund.
Maurice's concept is to make players shake their heads and sigh. And periodically laugh and immediately feel slimey about having laughed at whatever was the cause. But since reactions to a posting can not be individually judged, I just thought it best to check with y'all first.
Toodles!
