Alice Blackstone (Though the portrait itself covers more of the body)

Edit: I take no credit for the artwork, I've solely used the artwork to create a portrait.

Never judge a book by its innocent, flowery cover.

For those who have a picture they'd really want made into a portrait, I can help with that!
I don't think it's possible to put in a portrait without DM assistance on an already created character though.

Edit: Perhaps for after the reset? ;)

Custom portraits are nice, but I do not think they are viable for this type of server as to be effective, it would require a seperate hak which all could be stored and periodically updated. This module does not use any custom haks but only the NWN haks. I play on a server which has a portrait hak but also has other custom haks which you must download to play. It is password protected and you need a bio approved before you can play. They have a decent player base but very few players have more than one character. Here one person could have at least six or more and if each has a custom portrait. :) I can appreciate your offer as creating custom portraits time consuming as I created mine for that other pw.

It is a nice touch and naturally any such mass requests would have to be approved by Thayan.

It's not necessary to place portraits in a hak. It can also be accomplished by someone acting as the point of contact and taking the responsibility of compiling and maintaining the portrait files for Thay in a way that all those portraits can be easily downloaded. Like putting all of them into a .zip file and then sharing it publicly on Skydrive or some other file sharing site. Provide the link to the .zip somewhere on the forums here, and then each person interested in having them can download it and extract the files to their C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\Portraits folder (which may need to be created if you don't have one).

Custom portraits don't require haks. They simply require that a person have the portrait in their portraits folder in order to see it. Otherwise, the people see a default image, which is a trivial issue.

Changing the portrait of an already created PC WOULD require the assistance of someone with LETO style access to the server vault, so that probably won't happen (as a general rule).

NINJA'd by the Thayan. Curse your villainy!

Yeah, custom portraits don't really mess with the enjoyment of those who don't have them the way custom heads do.

I could do that :)

I just need a picture, pre or uncropped.
A link will do, or else you can send it to my skype.

If we are making it official, I'll open a thread where no posts are allowed else from links and I'll be editing the first post as more portraits are made and sent in. That way people can preview that portraits are in-game before downloading them. Much like I did with mine.

I just think it adds a bit of flavor to your character, can even set the mood. (For yourself or others if they have it).
I'll also write and explain the process of how I create these portraits.

Converting pictures into custom portraits is easy enough, since there's a command in game for doing so.
It's largely a matter of making the portraits available to everyone.

What does get mildly annoying is when people use already existing portraits but rename them specifically for his/her PC, because it forces people to download multiple copies of the same portraits (only with different names).
