The information on this seems rather vague.
In other worlds I have heard it rped that an elf in its mother's womb is aware and remembers the experiences when it is born.
Has anyone lese heard about this?

DM: Everyone done resting? Okay. *rolls* Avrora, You're nauseated.
Avrora: What!?
DM: Oh yeah, and it's been a few months... so you're now heavily encumbered. You also have a craving for... *rolls* ice-cream.
Ihsahn: Can we go now?
DM: If Avrora does not get ice cream within the next 5 minutes, she will go into a barbarian rage, attacking any and every male within her sight.

Even in a place as twisted as Thay, that last one is cruel beyond comprehension.
"Survival of the fittest and the winnowing of the weak are Malar's Legacy. A brutal, bloody death or kill has great meaning. The crux of life is the challenge between the hunter and the prey, the determination of who lives or dies. View every important task as a hunt. Remain ever alert and alive."
