Thay to Start Using Haks
#11
I've never heard of Worldgate. A quick search shows it to be for NWN2. Does that work with NWN1? Or is there something similiar for NWN1?

More than likely KTA will be the one responsible for updating the hak, although depending on how engaged the rest of the staff is ti might become a group project. I haven't worked with haks in probably 6+ years now so I'm not aware of all the technological advances there might be in regard to custom content, updating it, and getting it to the people that need it (you - the players). If anyone wants to enlighten me/us, please feel free.

Worldgate will work for NwN1 and it allows the server to post the updated hak and worldgate will download it and put it into the correct folders. It can also be used to switch overrides and haks between PWs with a couple simple clicks. This is especially handy on servers that use a large amount of haks, since that is what normally screws people up is getting all of the files confused before getting them into the correct folders.

And another YAY for clothes ... and heads.

*Maurice crosses his fingers* "Please, please let hand fans and parasols be included one day!" :D {KTA would need to be careful with those, though. Many guards see them as weapons and try to kill the stylish fops carrying them.}

Anyone know how to determine the correct identification tags for particular heads? I'm sure that would be appreciated in the deluge of requests sure to head KTA's way.

It will be a direct download. This thread holds all the information needed. There is also a new button in the board header to link to this thread.

As Thayan said, if you have any high quality content in mind PM me.

Actually I'd say those different "Off-hand holdables" are quite qualitative and would certainly bring a lot of flavor into the game.

Well then, find the origin of the items you refer to and PM the link and I'll see what I can do.

They originate in CEP... it'd have to be sifted through to be found by someone that knows what they are doing.

Are you *sure* they originate in CEP?! My understanding is that CEP has no original work - it's all been created by others and they just package everything they can get their hands on together into the CEP. Assuming that is true, they have to exist separately *somewhere*.

And our guards would not go after people holding flavor items. I believe they are all considered of the torch base item category and the guards don't care if you have a torch in your hand.

I beg of you.... PLEASE, please, please! Add hoods or a hood. It does so much for immersion when playing sneaky type of characters or those who make no sense wearing helmets....!
