It has been clarified in the following thread: ( http://thaypw.org/showthread.php?tid=273...ll+changes ). But it's simply to avoid people rushing dungeons, by cutting down the length of certain buffs.

so why couldn't the blackguard spell based feat be reduced as well rather than disallowing it to stack with the spell..just kind of confused by the logic

Without actually knowing the reason behind it, my guess it that stacking two spells is an odd thing..And could lead to questions like "Why can't this spell-x stack with potion or spell-y from a different class"

And stacking bulls strength on yourself like that, is at least in my view overpowered.

in my humble opinion I think this is a bad move in weakening an already underpowered class that suffers from poor class progression compared to its counterpart...the paladin

...I don't really see too many bgs or purple dragon knights running around abusing this ability.. if I can think of any that play those classes

...might as well disable bulls from stacking with rage.. of all things that might be considered OP I really have to ask why bg bull's and not the plethora of other things that are considered OP on other servers.. such as HIPs (which has already received a boost due to TS changes)

I think it's a game mechanic. The clerical bull's strength will not stack with the arcane either. I don't think any of the ability increasing spells will stack with another of the same effect from a different casting class.

that's because they're spells and not feat based...

moot point I guess now I deleted my bg to be.. no point in playing a class that has been further nerf'd into the ground : /

Fighter BAB, sneak attack, universal save bonus based on charisma, access to turn undead and therefore divine shield and might, 2 sacrificial summons to escape losing fights, hardly a weak and useless class.

I believe roleplayed options and flavour should be considered as well.

Everyone agrees Harper Scouts are a terrible class mechanically, but the roleplay, and the IC perks that come with it, should not be discarded.

Blackguards come with quite fantastic flavour with them, as they very much make for the standard paladin-types for an evil PW like Thay, with the social privileges that comes with that.

Also, Doom Knights.

Never, EVER underestimate Doom Knights.
