In-game, we are drawing ever closer to Uktar 30th - one of the biggest yearly holidays in Faerûn. During the Feast of the Moon, the dead are remembered, songs and legends are told, and much partaking of spirits is indulged.
Given that it's New Year and the 6th Anniversary of Thay, perhaps a bit of an event could be had that celebrates the present and the past, Ao-shifted or no, of the many good moments the server has made possible. A time of remembrance for all those characters that found an untimely, or quite timely death, and have made an impact in the hearts and minds of Thayans in-game and players outside it. A good venue for bards and performers of all kinds to do their thing, and one of religious significance as well, as a number of clergies mark this as an especially holy day.
What do you all think?

Sounds good to me. Get everyone together and remember the PCs that aren't around anymore, even/ESPECIALLY if the players are.

Buy Gust a dark ale and he'll go on for hours and hours about all the people he met in Thay, living and dead.
Sounds like fun, he'll show up.

All we need to set down is a date for this. A DM's help in setting everything up would be nice as well, have some NPCs join in and participate.

True though a DM's help is not strictly necessary, though they could certainly pop in to watch and join in. A player with property could host a party? Would boost their notoriety RPwise too. Does the forum having a polling option where people can vote on a day/time? Otherwise we can just rely on player posts for attendence

A DM would be helpful, but I suppose not vital to the entire thing the way I imagine it.

This would be pretty damn awesome, but before people start throwing out dates.. I heavily suggest a weekend, like a friday or saturday so that all timezones have a chance.
I prefer walking towards the east..

I agree, Friday, Saturday or Sunday would be good for me, but that is just personal preference for me.
Whatever the time or day I shall do my utmost to be there. It's going to be an amazing event. :D
