As a Novicius I stood victorious against a Blue Slaadi, earning my first mark of recognition as an official gladiator of Thay. I could not take its skull.

Yet a Novicius I bested a Human, earning my second mark of recognition. He smote me with power from some heavenly host. I took his skull in full view of everyone.

I have bested a Dretch, it was easy. Still a Novicius, I earned my third mark of recognition. I took its skull, it disappeared soon after.

I did battle with a Sammael. He won, by a hair, but he won. The Doctore will count this as a loss even if nonlethal. I have been bested once in the arena, I will strive to make it the last time.

Sammael has spoken of sponsorship, I will speak with the Doctore of this.

4th HAMMER, 1359 DR

Today, as a Novicius, I bested a Monk of an order they call the long death. I took its skull. Its death was quick.

Later I bested another Duergar, a warrior this time. It was unworthy still, but stronger than the last one.

I earned two marks.

6th HAMMER, 1359 DR

Today was a good day, much blood was spilled in the pit of Pyarados. Two Monks of the Long Death, I hear much of this order. One Slaadi, and one Duergar.

I earned all four marks, and took four skulls. The Slaadi skull disappeared soon after, gone to rejoin the rest of its body in some far off place.

They now call me Skullcounter, the Beast of Pyarados.

19th FLAMERULE 1390 DR

I earned my tenth mark, it was a worthy battle. Another Duergar, this one a spellcaster. It called a savage beast to its side, which did rend me something awful, but I managed to overcome its master before it overcame me, even though I was effectively fighting blind as the Duergar has made itself invisible. Its skull already had a mark in it, from an ax most likely.[/i]
