System Changes
#11
"If you have a PC who is lowered to level 15, the amount of XP they currently have will still be saved in the new XP system. So that means you have a lot you can do as far as working at the enchantment forges (which have also just had their prices reduced), or you can preserve it and focus on RPing with others as the best way to get notoriety required to eventually get back to the level you were at."

Once the cap returns to 20, will our levels be restored is the confiscated xp only for forging?

Levels will not be restored once the enervation is removed. However, forward progress in regaining levels will be re-enabled using the new system described.

The exp excess is currently for forging purposes only.

I gather item level restrictions have been lowered as well? Allowing higher levels to still use their items?

No, they have not. Items above the character's new level will have to be taken to the forge to be re-made(lowered) to wear again.

But the prices have been reduced to allow this if I read the change correctly.

One question though. What of people who used stones to enhance their weapons from the quest? Would they have to keep that item until the level 15 cap is removed? Cara's scimitar was a level 16 weapon with the stone in it. Unfortunately she lost the weapon as she could not go back and retrieve it as she was getting dogpiled by nasties. :D

However there may be other people who have used the stone given to them by the quest giver.

In most cases, the weapon can be altered at the forge to be scaled down to at or under level 15 without affecting the stone that has been placed upon it.

Scaled down how? By removing item properties you mean?

All of a sudden, I don't feel so anxious about having my characters at relatively low levels. With the IC explanation for this and the careful consideration taken for those who've already been here and slammed away at their characters to reach that vaunted level 20, I... am completely loving this.

As someone whos played here for this freaking long myself, and never gotten beyond level 14..or is it 15? I don't remember..I love this, I never liked the higher levels from 10+

My only dislike about the new system, is that I cannot see my XP progression in the character sheet anymore, I really miss that.
I prefer walking towards the east..
