XP- Forging and Fugue Plane in the new system

Forging requires three things. XP, gold and Noteriety. Currently we have a xp bank for those of us who were above 15. There are things I wish to do with some of my items but cannot do to not enough noterity and others I can do but need the gold. One way around this, (I do not know if its been changed) was to have someone with the noteriety to forge it for you for the cost to do so and then they would convert the xp loss they would incur to a processing fee of sorts.

Hopefully under the new system I will gain enough to make the changes on my own as well as gold to do the minor things.

So when I was deleveled this I accumulated 85k in xp. Is this just for forging or if one fugues either while the cap is on or after, will the xp be taken from the bank?
( I do not plan to make dying a habit if I can)

When releveling begins I gather that xp will not be banked and what you earn through the various methods goes to the leveling process. If you manage to get to level 20, will any xp you gain after the level go into the bank or it will just be gone with the wind.

Apologies if this is actually written somewhere. All these changes a bit overwhelming.

Yes, the banked XP for previously high-level PC will be used for the Fugue, the enchantment forges, for creating wands, potions, scrolls, and in any other case where XP might be taken.

It is not possible to accumulate more XP than the level cap.

To clarify this statement, it is more appropriate to say the level cap reduction is instant for any PCs that are affected by it. As soon as any level reduction may occur for a PC, he/she can immediately begin working to achieve the notoriety necessary to level-up again - up to the current maximum level of 20.

Ok, so I thought I got the gist of what was going on, until now :) Does this mean that currently banked xp will count towards regaining those lost levels and that we simply need to earn the notoriety to actually level up? Or does this mean that the banked xp is only for situations where xp is lost and that we need to earn the xp back as well as reach the required notoriety level to get back to where we were?

Yes, this is exactly right.

Yes, Willow. If you choose not to use your banked XP on forging and such, as your notoriety reaches the requirements for 16th level, you will already have the xp required and will gain the level.

Thanks for the clarification. This makes me happy that Daeris did not have the talons saved to burn through all of the excess xp :)
