End of the Road

For Neb'tha, anyway. :) I want to thank everyone who was a part of his story. I had a good time, and learned a lot with him.

I'm not leaving the server, but after tonight's debacle with 13 Nycolith's and more assorted demons, I just don't feel like starting over a level 12 character half geared. It will make it to hard to survive what I spawn now, and all those quests are one shot. I even lost my house key, and that sucks big time as well.

To Hirt (who died trying to save my corpse), Daeris (who died with me the first time [I died twice :P ]), Kallien (EPIC stubbornness bud, and I mean that kindly :) ), Siucre (sorry, can't remember the PC's name :( , but she tried to help, and that means a lot :D ), and Valin (who popped in just to have his arse handed to him with the rest of us :P ) ...my most profound thanks. :D It is people like you who gave up your time tonight to try and recover my belongings for hours on end that make this a really nice place to play. You're a good bunch...and I'll be seeing more of you, just in a different guise.

Next time I'll make 13! :D

Maybe. :P

We did what we could, I wish I could have done more. In the end, we managed to retrieve everyone's gear but your own...

... This is because when I returned to risk everything on a potentially-suicide lure, it turned out I hit a dead end where your original bag was... With those demons still nearby that had finished you ...then that 3 minute timer kicked in shortly after I sorted through 18 pages of inventory and my inventory was completely overloaded on that one persons gear.

I really do wish I could have done more for you, I'm sorry.

In anycase, I wish you well if you start a new character. If you return to Neb'tha, more so.

Dude...you should never apologize for doing your best; ever! :) And suicide runs, while a mighty tempting gauntlet :P, end in...well, death. heh Again, for those that risked all for me, I shall be ever in your debt. :)

I am really sorry Neb, Cara did try to get to you before you died. I did try to get everyone healed but ya thats was really bad spawns.

I really did enjoy rping with him he was a finely developed character.

Well, I may have been premature. ;)

Turns out there are random bits and bobs floating out there that I can replace what was lost, so I don't have to kill off Neb quite yet. :D

But, I may need DM help for one thing, and that is to replace my house key that I lost. I bought a skeleton key, but need to know if there is a way a DM can "set" my new key to my old door. If so, that would be wonderful. :) If not, I suppose I can always just buy a new place and go that route.

So looks like ol' Neb still rides! :D

Way to hang in there!

There was a time when Gust lost everything too. It could have been the end of him (and Bela's character, Micha Swift, too) but instead I(we?) looked upon it as a challenge. It wasn't easy, but in the end Gust came out the better for it. It helped to build his character.

A great man once said: "It is only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything."

I'll see about getting your house key thing sorted out.

I was sorry to hear about Neb's death. It is heartbreaking to lose a character that you put so much work into. I am pleased you are rethinking his demise. :D

I agree with Gust. We lost everything and I mean everything in the abyss under Dillomats tower. We came back and slowly but surely we are better now than we were when we died. Several times I might add in the abyss trying to reclaim our gear.

And yes, I (Mikki) took it as a challenge and has grown into a better character, I think so anyway.

Pleased to hear Neb is still going to be around.

Way to go and look forward to helping you in reclaiming some of your lost gear. :D

Yay! Neb was too good a guy to go. Just make sure when you get your new key to make copies and stash one on your horse and one in the vault.
Maybe check out Rimeth's merchant in Bezantur too.

My new plan (with house key) is to do just that, Ani; make a copy and save it in in the Vault...live and learn!

Well, mostly. :P
