PLAYER HOUSING INFORMATION
#1
I did several searches and did not find anything relating to transfer of housing, ie upgrading from one house to another. Most of the housing information is who can own houses and what type. In game you learn about prices and taxes.
If there is a link and I have overlooked it I apologize.

My question is in regards to moving items from your old house to a new. I am thinking of having my character Rimeth upgrade to a larger home. I am guessing
the move would have to occur the same day? Or as long as your taxes current on your new home you do not? (personally I would do it same day)

So do you buy the new deed, choose a new house, load everything into the new house then go pay the price?

I am aware that all persistant storage conatiners must have their contents removed.

This link has a placard for such information but it is not linked to anything.

Thanks in advance.

You can only own one house at a time, so you would need to take everything out of the current home, release your ownership of it(not 100% sure but I think you use the key on the door to do that), then use a deed on your new home.

That would be kind of difficult to do without having peeps help you. :) due to the 150 item limit. Though you would have a house moving party.

I am aware you release your ownership to it but your key will turn into a deed I believe by which you cannot sell back to the deed master but to another pc.

Selling furnishings before considering buying will help as far as how much to transfer.

I guess you could also store some things at another pc's house too.

You can also release it by using the key on the door. You'll get a deed in your inventory that you can give to another PC (all your stuff will remain in the home) who will help you move. Have them use the deed on the house so you have access to it. Get your new home, move your stuff then have that person release the house and sell the deed.

You can transfer a building directly to another PC by using your house key on them twice within 30 seconds.

--------------------------

Edit: I just confirmed this is on the description of the key itself (bolded text emphasized here by me) -
Quote:This is a key that will open all exterior and interior doors to a specific player-owned property.

Taxes to a property must be paid every year (84 days real-time) to a Deedmaster or the property will be lost.

The owner of a property may use this key to:
-Make copies of this key at a Key Duplicator
-Use it on the property's doors to improve locks, door strength, and lock or unlock them
-Use it on another PC to transfer ownership of the property to that person
-If used on the entrance to the property, the owner may choose to relinquish his or her claim to the property

Any Player may use a building key to:
-Use it on or near a piece of furniture to rotate, raise, lower, or pick it up (even if it is not their property)

If there isn't enough people online to help you with this when you want to do this, feel free to use the multiple empty storage chests in my house as an intermediary. I don't fill them up as much as I used to. :)
