Mulhorandi Pantheon
#1
What is the status of the Mulhorandi Gods? I'm working up a new character concept in my head, but for the life of me, based on Class (Cleric/Monk), allowed domains, and also Alignment restrictions (Lawful for Monk) I can't for the life of me make it work! lol

Then I scrolled down and saw the Mulhorandi pantheon, but remember reading ~something~ about them that might squash the whole thing there. :P

Are they dead? Still active? Just curious.

"Following the deaths of Gilgeam and
Ramman during the Avatar Crisis..."

*sighs*

"The Thayan mulan shun the Mulhorandi pantheon, mostly because the country itself is very much opposed to Mulhorandi. "

*sighs*

Related to this thread (even though not of the Mulhorandi Pantheon) will this deity work? What year are we in?

"Velsharoon (Attains godhood in 1368 DR)"

I think some of the current gods have different names from the mulhorandi names

Set I think is one.
Caramiriel:Retired
Garbage:Retired
Rimeth: Merchant of Bezantur
Marister (dead) -Ranger -Robin Hood of Thay (death marked for pissing off a Daeron.)
Vil'a'w'en Mel'for'm - Blighter of Moander

Not being "raised" on Faerunian lore, aren't the Faerunian Gods and the Mulhorandi Gods two different pantheons? Not just the same Gods reamed for a different people?

*is confused now*

There are a few that are crossovers between the two pantheons. Sharess is listed in the main pantheon, but she is Bast in the Mulhorandi pantheon, for example. Or are listed as Mulhorandi when they're (kind of) not really. But in most cases there is no crossover with a god in the main pantheon being just another incarnation of a god in the Mulhorandi pantheon.

We're currently in 1360 DR, but that is going to change, one way or another, to 1362 DR in the near future. Velsharoon won't be a god for...ugh...3 more real-time years. Assuming we don't have another time travel to the future or something (which is doubtful).

Two different pantheons, I'll set up my drive in a minute and place some books in there for you.

Here is the link to Faiths and Pantheons

I hope the books helps. I have tons more if you need anything else. I also have a PDF with a detailed map of Faerûn if you are interested in that.

So in the Powers and Pantheons thread, which Gods are currently "dead" in this time, and so would be unusable? I guess at this point I'm confused as to which Gods would have functioning Clerics.

Log into the server and then go to the "Gods and Religion" section of the Player's Guide and then go to the "View Forgotten Relams' Gods" option. They are all listed alphabetically there, and the ones who are deceased or not ascended yet will not be listed as "God Not Yet Ascended."

I realize that the answer I provided wasn't really what you were looking for, but it is the easiest way to gather the information.

As for the dead ones, I am not sure.

Bane and Bhaal are.

Three years?! Does that mean it's time for a slooooooooooooooooow build? Cool Maybe I'll just mark that day on my calendar.

Yeah, that would be a slow build.

As for dead gods, the best bet for that is to looking them on online. I used to mark gods as 'dead' in the in-game player guide, but because it is still possible for a PC to worship a dead god and get spells (in the case where another god or entity gives them spells for whatever reason), all gods in that menu are valid to worship whether they are dead or not. Maybe your PC really believes they are alive, or (like in Leira's case) believes their death is just a lie or fabrication. By not marking a god as definitely dead in-game we leave more room open for RP possibilities there.
