Three Cheers for Thayan!
#1
Like many, the crash and the thought of having to regain everything and start over was a bit of a downer. Thayan however knew he had a good player base and that the players did not blame him for a freak of cyber madness.

He turned that incident into an incredible rebirth of this place.

New areas to explore.

Changes he made help players make the most use of their time in game.

The new furniture options and voice commands major time savers.

The new hidden doors awesome rp tool and nice hidey hole.

The multi raven stone sending in my opinion is a great time saver for gathering people in one place. 500 to use the raven stone to arrive cheaper than buying and in most cases about the same price if not cheaper than riding a van.

Hip Hip Hurray!

Thanks for the kind words, Animayhem!

I should point out that many of these new enhancements were based on suggestions from the community - so I can't/won't take credit for coming up with them. Carcass is the one who first suggested something like the 'looking for group' option now available at the caravan merchants. Miscr3ant suggested the voice commands for manipulating furniture, and years ago it was Jechal who suggested the ability to keep traps in a house and allow for secret rooms.

So while I may not comment on public feature suggestions, I hope these recent additions are proof enough that I do look at them and often file them away on the design wishlist. Of course, suggestions that come with aid to implement them are much more likely to get done sooner (i.e. - Miscr3ant providing code as the base for the housing voice commands with his suggestion), rather than years later (i.e. - relying on me to find time in the design schedule to implement persistent traps and secret chambers in houses).

I'm still itching for a chance to use the "Looking for group" feature. I don't want to use it for something like hunting seagulls for their feathers, of course, but the time will come. And I'm looking forward to seeing how it works. :)
