Official portraits thread (6.0 updated 5/25/15)
#1
Since I like to use custom portraits and I know others do too, I'll be taking this over. I'll put the 5.7 from the other thread in my dropbox, add my own newer portraits, post a link to the 5.8, and anyone with a new portrait can post a link to it and I'll add it to the current file and change the version number.

Updated link as of Sept 2015, also a reminder, I won't be doing conversions so if you want it in the folder link to a zip file with Huge/Large/Medium/Small tgas of the portrait.

Copying these instructions from the old portrait thread for everyone's convenience, especially my own;

Step 1.
I use google photo editor to crop the pictures to a dimension of 256 x 400.
This is because if the quality is too great or the picture un-proportional, it will look out of joint. (Google photo editor is Picnik, a free online editor which was bought by Google. It's basically Photoshop lite, and thus is perfect for light editing.)

Step 2.
After cropping the picture, I save it as a .tga on my computer and put it in the NWN folder "portraits" - this is also where you will be putting the portraits once they are done.

Step 3.
I start a game in nwn and open the console, writing "ConvertPortrait [portraitname]" (Example: ConvertPortrait AliceBlackstone) and it automatically converts my picture into the five different sizes needed for your portrait to work everywhere. One thing in mind if you do it yourself, have a name with no spaces as it will not work then.

Picnick I believe has been discontinued. I use Paint Shop pro to get the picture to the 256 x 400 and save as tga.
I then use irfranview to create the sizes as it is very easy to use. I save all pictures in the tga format in the nwn portraits folder.

Two new portraits to add. Just click the name-links above each picture to access the rar files with the portraits in them, then un-zip the rars and transfer the five images for each portrait into your portraits folder. Let me know if for some reason you have trouble accessing the rar's for download via my OneDrive.

About twenty or so portraits from my quarter of a gig portrait folder (I cleaned it out I think... It used to be about 3/4ths of a gig) that folks might be interested in. Think it's SFW (might be one with visible nips, don't really remember).

Also, a nice application for thumbnails within the explorer menu.

Well that was a good laugh...
Tempus' orders to all combatants:
1. Be fearless. 2. Never turn away from a fight. 3. Obey the rules of war.
