Wow - well that was actually a coincidence, DarkRanger. I had no idea there was a real person who existed by that name. But alot of the names in-game are taken from other sources of inspiration as Bishop kind of figured. Some are obvious (Captain Sparrow and the Black Pearl being two blatant rip-offs), but some are a bit more subtle -
Gregane the Mountain (Game of Thrones) Priest Staark (Game of Thrones) Wei Dong's Last Resort (Dick's Last Resort) etc There are many easter eggs and names either from or based from other sources throughout the gameworld. In this case, Bvlgari was actually made a reality when I told the Mrs. (Heidi) 'I need a Roman-esque name for a stuck-up overpriced merchant in what's supposed to be the fanciest establishment in Thay'. She was flipping through one of her girly magazines and a Bvlgari ad popped up. The rest, as they say, is history. ;)

Well done Mrs T. :D Captain sparrow and the Black Pearl I thought were from the film, the others I have never seen so didn't make the connection. But I would really love to know how Bvlgari is actually pronounced, if anyone knows? Scientists say the universe is made up of electrons, neutrons and protons ... They forgot to mention morons!
What about Captain Sparrow's favorite barkeep, Captain Ron? And then there's that other scurvy sea dog, Jack Black on South Alaor.... ;)
