I am looking for some comments and discussion around adding tattooed torsos and pelvis body parts to Thay. The package I am seriously considering implementing is here:

I want the community's opinion about whether or not these should be added because, if I do this, when PCs are undressed they will be completely nude. Males will have a penis and females will have a vagina (and boobs). Just like you found out in Kindergarten. But the real reason I am considering adding this is to give us sorely needed variety in tattoos. Thay is a tattoo-heavy place, and this is at least a start to improve the choices aspiring Thayans have here.

While I have never advertised Thay as a particularly kid-friendly server, I've tried to keep us in the PG-13 range. But this move will turn us into an R rated server (The MPAA says horrific deplorable violence is OK for PG-13, as long as no one says any naughty words or shows a boob). So please use the poll above to vote Yes or No (there is no middle ground on this choice) as to whether you think these additions should be made. If the majority of you say 'No', this will not happen.

Oh - and this needs to be decided by Friday, February 27 as the new hak is being released this weekend along with a server update. So don't wait to voice your opinion!

IMO it's been pretty close to R-rated for a while anyway... drugs, slavery, sex with prostitutes, cursing (which one of my chars did. A lot), Wids, etc.

Yeah, none for the dynamic gnoll, goblin, or upcoming orc models unfortunately. But if anyone knows how to make new plt files for them (or for the other various bodyparts for any model) I'd be interested in them. I have no idea how difficult it is to create them, but I do know ALOT of plt models are needed for each race and phenotype. There are 641 files in this hak for the standard races (male and female). fortunately they are all relatively small which is a big part of the reason I'm considering adding them.

I have seen servers that implement nude packs and i cannot stress enough how i think this is a bad idea. Currently all the worst bits are left to the imagination as it should be. You are opening a Pandora's box here Thayen.

TSE, can you be more specific about your concerns? I've heard of adult-oriented servers where PCs walk around without clothing on, but I don't really think that's going to happen here because there would probably be some strong negative reactions from other PCs and very likely IC consequences for the nude PC if they were spotted by Legion or RW PCs.

Also, don't merchants refuse to interact with unclothed PCs?

Would you feel better about it if NPC guards/legion/RWs were scripted to react to unclothed PCs similarly to drawn weapons? i.e. A couple of warnings and then BAM!

I see no problem with it as long as the regular propriety factors stay in place.

I mean if people need to any intimacy actions should not be done in public view and any suggestive comments or intimate actions done in tells.

For the most part people have acted responsibly in regards to any sexual infrences and actions.

In this case it is in world context as people have mentioned Thay is a place of sex, brothels,slavery, drugs and assasinations. I have to look at the back when I get home but does it offer chests with hair for men? Yes I am aware Mulans prefer clean skin but not all are Mulan. I mean if nipples can be pierced why not hair on chests. :P

If no hairy chests one just has to emote it and add to discription. :P

Couple questions, will the tattooed pelvis parts add a slot to the tattoo item? Also, are there heads included, especially interested in a bald, tattooed female head.

No additional heads are being looked at right now. I guess if you have a hak package in mind on the new vault site that we don't have implemented, send me the link in a PM and I'll see how tough it would be and if it is small-ish in size. I'm not a hak expert, and with the limited amount of time I have given myself to pull this all together, unless it is 'easy' to add, it probably won't make this cut.

If this is added, the pelvis tattoos will probably add one additional slot to the total number of magical tattoos a PC can have.

And if implemented, and we start getting people wandering around in the nude just for the hell of it, there will be some IC smackdown that I'll have to enforce. Thay is not a social server, although 'social' elements are certainly OK between consenting adults that play here. Hopefully, just like some of the voluntary restrictions I ask people to place on themselves (keeping their inventory in check, total PCs they play, etc) - wandering around with clothing on should be something that needs to be script-enforced. But it can be done if I have to.

There is already an exploit, a pelvis appearance, that allows male characters to wander around naked and interact with NPCs like normal.
