Hello everyone!

Just a general question for everyone. I like seeing the in-game messages on the boards. Do you use the in game message boards to make posts? If not, why don't you? Do you have issues with the writing system? Is something else stopping you? Would a video tutorial of the writing system be of use to use?

For me to be honest it's the Writing system! It's something i have never gotten my head around! I always tend to give up else i would personally use them all the time!

A Tutorial is a great idea!

Hello !



I read the message-boards from time to time. But i have never used them myself to write something.




If i would use them i would use them for stuff i didn't get the expected result anway.



Examples :



- If you tell me where the questgiver for the vampire-quest is hidden i pay you X goldpieces.




  (The most players don't know this themselves and those who know will not tell you, for whatever reasons. Also i don't  have a level 7 character any more who is suited to become vampire since i retired "Medea Darkheart" now.)




- If you give me item XYZ i pay you X gold.




(Most items you can craft yourself if you have a notoriety that is high enough. And when you have reached the nessessary level to use most of the interesting items you will normally have the nessassary notoriety if you have done the RP-Events with one and the same character. Or when you have raised the gold nessassary you will have already found such an item by yourself.)




I myself would use the message-board to obtain "hidden-secrets", but nobody will tell you, so it is quite of useless to me.




(I dont know many of the special questgivers and i really dont like to talk to hundreds of NPC's, who mostly have one and the same boring dialogue, to find them to be honest.)




Perhaps you have to be a thief too to open secret doors / locations, where something is hidden.





Also with low-level characters most areas are too dangerous to go to, so you aren't be able to discover secrets simply because of low level, and some creatures like Oozes can see invisible people and even through "Greater Sanctuary".)

I tend to contact people either through private letters (Very very seldom admittedly) or the aspect mirror myself
Might change if my chars ever feel the need for mass propaga- I mean, mass messaging!

I do read the message boards though :)

My main character always reads the message boards whenever she can.
Due to circumstances she feels it to be unwise to advertise in such a public manner however.
