His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh died this morning at the age of 99. 

A sad day :(
Scientists say the universe is made up of electrons, neutrons and protons ... They forgot to mention morons!

My condolences, Bela. I've thought for sure the Royal Couple would outlive me. A sad day indeed.

He'd been ill for quite some time and I had been spurring him on to make his 100th, but sadly not to be. :( 
I feel for the Queen, I really do believe their marriage wasn't just a marriage of convenience/circumstance, I think they were devoted to each other.
