In the latest of a long line of unpopular changes in the name of game balance, lag fighting, etc; this PW is returning to a (more-or-less) enforced inventory size limitation for all PCs. This enforcement will go into effect sometime next weekend, January 28-30.
Prior to then, it would be in every character's best interest to get their inventory + equipped items down to fewer than 200 items, otherwise they may have an item(s) stolen or 'lost' from it. However, please note that it will be possible to retrieve any stolen/lost item caused by this inventory limitation enforcement - but it will cost your PC gold in the form of a "finder's fee" and time to travel to a designated location to get it back. Even so, inventory should typically be much less than 200 to accommodate all the items one might acquire while adventuring. Use pack slaves and mount saddlebags, for example, to help carry some of that excess load, if needed.
While there are a few things this change is meant to address, the main reason is to prevent server-wide lag caused by PCs with hundreds of items in their inventory.
You can find the official details under the Pick Pockets section of the Wealth Management page in the PW's OneNote sourcebook here.
