The city of Bezantur, on the first day of the month of winter, suffered a horrific massacre in it's streets. It is not simply rumors, but undeniable truth that a lycan went on a rampage throughout the city that night. The city was depleted of a hundred citizens, a tenth legionnaires, that day.

Some say the butcher who slaughtered the people was captured. Others say the lycan escaped. Others still say it is still lurking in the city, or maybe even in the sewers. One thing is for certain however. After this terrible massacre that has ruined many families and lives, a much greater awareness of the dangers of lycanthropy has been sired in the city.

Additionally, a number of commoners now fear if there were any unfortunate survivors who were harmed, but not killed in the attack. Which raises a single question amidst the populace. Is there a lycan infestation in Bezantur?

Aznar Thrul sat seething as he read yet another appeal and demand for action from a noble family who had lost a loved one -or at least a member- of their family in the attack. He had been content, until now, to allow the lycans in and around Bezantur their sport with minimal casualties on the side as they served their purpose for the various experiments he and his fellow Red Wizards occasionally performed. However, lycans captured and transported from afar would serve just as well - if being a little more inconvenient. Now though, swift and severe action would be needed to reassure those in Bezantur and the Priador of his leadership and the ability of his legion to protect them.

He summoned the Master Sergeant Samuel Martin of Bezantur and with as much malice as he could muster dismissed him just as quickly with the command "Bring me the Captains of the Priador Legion. They have work to do."
