I debated for a little while whether to post this in the bug reports section or not, finally deciding on not. But I have a little story and a warning and a semi-buggish issue.
Based on some IC happenings, Azel has been killing every cat and dog he sees because they have been used to spy on him (true story). So killing them is (at least currently) IC and kinda fun to see character's reactions to him doing it, especially when his curt explanation is "Spies" or something like that. It also has allowed me to offer money to new characters for bounties on bringing him dog & cat ears.
So like I said Azel has been killing cats & dogs, and it's all been good until yesterday. Azel left the market, saw a dog and shot it. The dog came charging at him and they fought. And fought. And fought. After a short while I realized the dog was named Anna and I thought a DM was having some fun with me by having made a very tough dog. After a longer while I started thinking a DM was upset with me by having made a suuuuuper tough dog. And a while after that, I realized that Anna is literally unkillable. I got her down to "Near death" and must have done at least 100 points more damage after that. She kept fighting and doing 20-30 points of damage per shot. Ouch. So Azel ran from Anna the dog. To verify I wasn't crazy, healed up and tried again. Unkillable, and does nasty damage. Ran and hid again. To my amazement I then saw Anna use Empty Body... an 18th level monk feat. Wow.
So that's the story. And the warning is, don't fight Anna the dog and make sure she isn't in any AoEs from spells you might cast. That is one scary dog.
The reason why I consider this semi-buggish is that, while I understand there is a description of her saying she's the toughest dog in Bezantur, and I'm pretty sure there must be some story/background related reason for her to be around and be tough, it seems more than a little wrong for her to be unkillable. Or if she is, then she should be invulnerable and not go aggro on PCs.
And let the taunting of Azel begin... :P
