Marrick died inside the caravan, and my question is if i choose to respawn and the "mysterious allies" dont rescue me where would my stuff end up? i dont want to respawn and not be able to get my stuff since i was travelling.

In that case your stuff will be on the caravan still and your only chance to get it back is to take the SAME caravan again.

That can be tricky. My first time dying on a caravan, I went to the bank to get the gold and I took the same caravan but my items were not on it but were found by another player. Also when I died outside the caravan, my pack was behind the caravan.
Follow up question to this, If you put some items in the caravan chest and died, managed to get the same caravan, would your items still be in it?
