Fugue Plane After update
#1
Not sure if a bug, but thought I would post here anyway.

GSID:Animayhem
CHARACTER: Azura
AREA OF DEATH: Bezantur SW Sewers

Azura died during an encounter in the sewers on a quest and went to the fugue plane. ( experienced a lag spike so could not access stone in time)She decided to return where she died and did. However the time seemed much shorter than previously. (can provide log on request) She barely rose and went to her pack when the creature that killed her attacked. I was able to get the recall stone so was able to port back. Luckily I had some basic gear stashed, put that on bought bandages and returned. I must have returned the right time as there were no spawns and I was able to collect my things. She will be going back as she did not find the item as she could not complete the run.

Now the questions this brings up.

The time your immortal is that random or has it been shortened?
If you have a regeneration item, does that help stop bleeding or can only bandages?
I thought that if you had a faction cloak, it would stay with you when you returned to the fugue. Azura's did not and she had to retrieve it from her pack the second time. Though the Master Sergeant still acknowledged her as a member.

Since I was able to get her gear I am not asking for anything to be returned.
The xp lost made more sense than previous losses.

Regeneration items will get unequipped when entering the bleeding stage.

Ok thank you.

What about the faction cloak and time of immortality?

Factions items don't stay in a PC's inventory when they go to the Fugue. They are not plot-marked items.

The length of immortality after returning from the Fugue has not been touched. It begins as soon as you transport back so if thre is a long area load time it's possible that could shave a few seconds off. However certain creatures may have powers to see you (True Seeing or See Invisible).

Ok Thank -you. Can they be made plot items then? For if you cannot retrieve them you have to wait for a dm to get you one.

No, I do not see a reason that they can/should transcend death. The only things that should get carried with you to the Fugue Plan are those that are needed OOCly - such as the Thay - Realm of the Red Wizards item.

If special items are lost, regardless of whether they are faction items or some other specially customized items, when a PC dies and they want them back then PCs (and DMs as well) should see it as an RP opportunity rather than just an inconvenience from their regular activities. For example - you go to your faction leader/contact and explain what happened, which results in some RP and maybe a special side quest to get a new copy of the lost faction item or any of a dozen other methods to (re)prove yourself to the faction. XP for roleplay, maybe some gold or something else thrown in the mix, and potentially other benefits could then arise from the 'bad' situation of a character's death.

I would hope/expect that no DMs are simply creating a missing faction item (or any missing desired item) fora PC if it was lost it due to the PC's death without at least some IC roleplay preceding it...

Fair enough inreference to plot item. As for explaining to a faction leader I would guess a dm needs to be on. Would one post in forum first? Having a side quest to get the item I could understand if you died while not on a quest for the faction but if you died during a quest for the faction, you proved yourself by attempting to complete the task rather than just buying the item.
