Howto tax Player-owned houses?
#1
Hey,

I was thinking about buying a house and went to the Deedmaster - but how do I know the house I have in mind is:

- buyable at all?
- has what size (small, medium, large)?

Is there a way to know before I buy a deed?

Examine the door. That'll let you know what sort of house it is.

So if the door yields nothing but "Old wooden door...blah" it is not buyable?

Aye, if it's a house that can be purchased the door will say "Small House Entrance", "Medium House Entrance", "Large House Entrance", or "Manor Entrance". Anything else is just a regular door.

Ok, I did figure it out... but... is there, if not there should be, a guide howto place the furniture in a way that makes sense and let them actually be useable. I mean just point and click places a desk but if it faces the wall the wrong side one can't put anything inside. Can I move a already placed piece around or put it out? Onclick my bookshelf tells me "This bookshelf is currently in use." Huh?

Use your building key on, or near, the furniture you want to move and you'll get a menu that allows you to rotate it, raise or lower it (if it makes sense), or pick it up and start over if you like. You can also use your key on your doors to set the lock status and pay for lock upgrades, etc, etc.

With the bookshelf, it sounds like it got stuck open. Try leaving and reentering your house to see if that works. But if you can't get to the front of the bookshelf you'll want to pick it up, or rotate it first.
