Greetings,

I'm really bad at introductions, or at least I feel I am, so here goes.

I play Maia Peiade and have been poking around on the server for what I believe to be about two weeks. I really like the feel of the server and enjoy how well fleshed out it is.

I have been playing Neverwinter for about a year now. My wife had bought it originally for me back in 2003 or 2004 as an alternative to having the lack of time to play Everquest due to kids and a hectic life. I had decided to chill from all games and left the box unopened until last year when I was going through some old RP stuff of mine.

Since then, I think I have played the single player aspect of the game nearly to death and have decided to try the multiplayer aspect. It's a bit tougher. (Understatement). I find myself pressing the space bar in vain to try and pause and figure out my next step. And talking to other people and using the correct emotes, channels or whatever is quite the struggle. I think I'm slowly getting the hang of it though. Apologies to anyone I may have adventured with and seemed slow-witted or useless.

I have adventured mostly with Sasquen, not sure if that character is a member here or not and I should ask her. Met a rougish fellow by the name of Maurty(sp?) today and had a great time! I have role-played quite a bit with Mara as well. Sasquen and I get along great and have saved each other's bacon tons of times, though I fear that I maybe holding the shorter end of the stick in that department.

As I said, I have tried other servers and didn't really like them much. My power-gaming days are over and I really like to RP. Don't get me wrong though, I love to cut down foes and loot their corpses as much as the next person.

I think that's enough rambling, see you in game!

RE: The Thay Community - Introduce yourself - l3 - 11-30-2011

Hi. L3. I tried Thay out a couple times a few years back with some friends while our old regular server was down. then my comp broke and when I got a new one it had windows 7 so I couldn't play NWN on it. Finally got NWN to work but none of the haks work on a windows 7 comp apparently. After much frustration I found Thay and recalled it was a no-hak server. Lo and behold my character from the first time was still there, still a lowly level 2. So here I am. So far I've rather enjoyed it, played with a few other players and such... I've enjoyed the server, (trying to coax my old buddies back over to try it) and now I get to see what it'll take for Neville (my halfling barbarian/ranger) to get someone to remove the collar he got saddled with, or, failing that, to cover said collar with a muffler made of the scalps of the Thayan slaver who put it there, and his friends.
