RE: Beds - Payne - 06-02-2011 I know that I sure enjoyed having the sea lion master suite to use and rp in, least until some scurvy dawg snatched it up when my monthly rent was due But more rooms like that imo, would make people use them more. Dont know where they could be placed, but I'd sure like to find another. RE: Beds - Sten - 06-02-2011 But it would also be awesome if people used the Inn for meeting to discuss plans for an adventure and such rather than the Market. RE: Beds - Hellstrom - 06-02-2011 Thayan - I agree it's just laziness & proximity to the market that are the main causes... not so much the cost. I like your solution a lot :) (06-02-2011, 11:33 AM)Sten Wrote: But it would also be awesome if people used the Inn for meeting to discuss plans for an adventure and such rather than the Market. If you're suggesting something else be changed to discourage meeting in the market, I'd strongly disagree. The market is public, has multiple merchants, a clean fountain, the slave pens, and nearby access to the boats and sewers. All those add up to make it a natural meeting place. If anything I think we could encourage meeting there by adding some public benches or something. I've played on servers where there is no natural meething place like that and it simply encourages more OOC tells to arrange meetings and find groups. I like the market because those things happen in a natural way there. If you're suggesting upgrades to the Anchor to encourage that sort of thing, fine, but I'd also point out that the Red Trident is used fairly often for planning, more private discussions, and so on. It's much better than the Anchor - it's bright, clean, well-arranged (good job Siucre), has several natural meeting areas, and free beer and wine. It's no wonder that the Rusty Anchor isn't visited as much. RE: Beds - Sten - 06-02-2011 Yes, the Market is a fine place which is ideal for meeting, all I'm saying is that people could use the Inn's aswell. are used far too little I mean noone ever goes for a drink, or sits down to talk with people about some warstory or perhaps an adventure they once had. Which I find really sad, there is far more to roleplaying than killing things after all. RE: Beds - Payne - 06-02-2011 I wouldnt say no one, most of my best moments on Thay, are just roleplaying around a drink, dinner, wandering the cities. RE: Beds - Hellstrom - 06-02-2011 I agree with Payne. I certainly do see the market used for "Hi, nice to meet you, let's go kill stuff", but I see plenty of other fun RP things go on there too, and I've seen plenty of "hey, let's go get a drink", "hey, let's plot for/against the Reds", "hey, I bet that elf would be good with some garlic", or "hey, let's go have a private chat", etc too. RE: Beds - PsyDruid - 06-20-2011 Eliavres spends alot of time in the inns drinking ale and telling stories to the npc's((Yes i have been known to roleplay solo...)) Ilmater was good for Eliavres because he always donated food and a few gold if he could spare it especially because he has high respect for ilmater for being able to forgive... He's also been known to drop a few magical weapons in that chest when the merchants didn't have any gold to buy his items. I know i'm a bit late on this but that's what you get when you travel... RE: Beds - Sten - 06-21-2011 Then perhaps the Inn roleplay has just avoided me, most likely because Richal is not the sit around and drink-type. But I still think that the removal of thoose Ilmater beds are good. RE: Beds - Creldest - 07-10-2011 Man, I'd share a drink with a lot of people, but Richal... I'd be afraid he'd poison me and my bread. RE: Beds - Sten - 07-11-2011 I would never do such a thing.. :P |
