Reminisces of Rimeth

" I have made many friends and accquaintances since my arrival. Some are still around and some are not.

Two of my more recent acquaintances, well actually I would call them friends are two men, clerics of Tempus. Khreed Mauthran and Teygard Rift.

They are both quite devout yet have a slightly different approach.

Although a grown man, Khreed approaches his belief and path almost with a child like quality. That does not take away his prowess as a fighter. Before the time shift he was stationed out of the Temple in Bezantur but now he is affilated with the temple in Gauros and has a shrine set up in Umratharos. It is basic and simplistic and reflects Khreed's view on his god in my opinion.

Teygard has a more serious, regulated approach in my opinion to his calling. While Khreed seemed to focus more on the divine side, Teygard more on the battle aspect. This is even in more evidence as he now rides a Nightmare.
Like Khreed he too is a good fighter and although appears serious and reserved he does have a sense of humor. He too was once of the Bezantur Temple but now is of the Gauros. He has a shrine as well but it is stationed out of Surthay. While Khreed's was grand but on a more simplistic scale, Teygards while not as big is more elaborate.

We have made a good team, assiting each other in quests. Recently Teygard has offered some advice to me on military tactics and equipment improvements."

" Much time, pardon the pun, has passed since the time shift was reversed and stablized. It is as if it never happened. Some people still upset at what was lost.

For myself, I am in a much better position than I was. I have a better home, a successful business and gold in the vault, more than I had before. People have suggested that I should purchase a manor or even a tower. I have concidered it, but having been in a few, I have decided my home suits me the best.

Though sales have been picking up, I have had to supplement income by doing tasks for people. For the most part, I have been dealing with people who are often found in the Temple of Mask. However my latest task has me thinking of how to approach this. As of yet I have not turned down a request however there comes a time when one must think if it is worth it.

My latest task requires retrieval of a sheild from caverns located below the Keptur Ruins. In doing some research and talking to others, I have found out that it is extremely dangerous as some thralls of the demon Eltab, still call that place their home. I have also posted that I would pay if someone found the shield in gold or merchandise. Yet I have thought why pay money for something when you rarely get the cost back?

Before deciding I will talk to a few people to get their feedback."

" I have decided to drop the quest and take a break for awhile.
I have posted my skills as an archer and will see where that will lead."

Time had passed since she had time to really sit down and relax.

" Well, awhile back, Master Kalos had hired me for a task.
It felt good to be able to assist. The last time I really used my bow, was in assisting Brandon in the search for answers behind the attacks against himself and other Tempuns.

Business has been steady. Newcomers have passed through. Some have bought and some have traded or I purchased as my travelling days have not been as much.

Tribune Garic is a good friend and good soldier. He has an axe collection he is proud of. I am concerned, however, as I have not seen him in some time. He normally does fade from view for extended periods. I am concerned however at the talk I have heard about a raid on Algrond. Personally I feel it foolish but I am glad I am not too involved in the political landscape.

I may send him a letter. "

" I ran into Ne'umbria, the black tiefling the other day. She seemed a bit jumpy, more than usual. No sooner had she explained the reason, then the reason appeared, a huge shadow creature. Thankfully it did more terrorizing than actual harm. I had suggested we go see the only cleric I knew still living and that was Cyrus.

We took a boat to Aloar and then to the new temple dedicated to Valkur. After Cyrus and I got caught up on events, Ne explained her situation. Cyrus said he would like to help but it was beyond his skill. He recommended she check with the priests of Shar and also seek out Veybold a specialist in contracts. We bade our farewells and Cyrus blessed are voyage back to Bezantur. Ne and I said our farewells. I do hope she gets some help soon."

" Thank the Goddess I managed to run into Garic in the market.
I was relieved to find out he was not involved in the invasion though it did trouble him. He wanted to purchase and axe I currently had in my shop and he did.
We also went back to my home and I showed him the axes I had saved. I quoted a price and said I would keep them for him.

I did not mind as he was one of my better customers and a friend.

Speaking of friends I wonder if anyone I know is involved. "
