Moving Forward Incentives
#21
Do you mean all PC's, or just ones that for some reason have not logged in and received their benefit already? :)

The ones that have not logged in yet. If you've already got yours, nothing more is needed.

I will be out of town starting tomorrow afternoon through the rest of the weekend. So after tonight's event the clock will be moved forward to 1362 DR. This is the last warning for anyone with a merchant to fire them before that happens.

Finally, this is also a last call for requesting additional incentives - I want to be done with them by October 1 and will not be accepting any more requests starting then. I will, however, continue to take the names of pre-existing PCs that want the automated incentive #3 in the first thread until December 1.

Thanks. And I think all the hiccups are finally ironed out of the automated incentives.

In regard to the additional incentives, two new things:
1. I have decided that requests for additional notoriety or faction advancement will not be granted. With the notoriety rewards being doubled for more than the next two months, I feel that both of these additional requests fall into the category of something that players can obtain themselves with that 'reasonable' amount of time in-game. If necessary for now, you can RP an unfair demotion or something (which is not far from the truth, sadly), or people thinking you're crazy for claiming you were time traveling and you 'lost' respect and notoriety that way, etc, etc.

2. If you feel that the automated incentives aren't enough for your PC and you send me a PM requesting additional 'stuff', I need everyone who does so to be as specific as possible about *what* you are requesting. Providing background on what you lost and/or why you are requesting something is fine, but then you'll need to specifically tell me what more you would like. I received a number of PMs that list off things a PC lost or detail where they were at, but didn't specifically say "I want X" because the extra gold/XP/notoriety won't cut it. Remember that if you're requesting an item, it needs to be one that cannot be purchased or made using in-game means - but you can request extra gold to purchase items if that's what you want.
So if you have sent me a PM that is related to additional incentives/stuff, and you're not sure you were specific enough about what more you want, please follow-up on it again before the end of the month and tell me exactly what you're looking for.

I have to admit that it was quite a surprise when I just now logged on to the server (after about 1.5 months of absence) and found several changes to my server vault:

1) Corella's back down to Level 2.
2) Eilbren's back down to Level 5.
3) Zelis, Jaliskar and Weedy no longer exist.
4) Feirinar (whom I sacrificed to start Jaliskar at Level 4) and Selamine (whom I just plain deleted) are back from oblivion.

Based on these criteria, what would be my best course(s) of action? It's tempting to delete Corella and recreate her at Level 5, but then I'd have to give her some lame name like " Corella. d'Margo." or whatnot, so I may just be better off soldiering on with the temporary Notoriety increases and try to schmooze her way back into Leira's temple like that. I might rebuild Zelis, and I could always earn back her lycanthropy the normal way (if I decided to get it back at all)...and this time, if I did that, I'd be sure to get her infected by a werebreed that doesn't cause Lawful shifts. Angel

(I could even go so far as to rebuild Tristella, I suppose. Sure, she apparently caught a fatal beatdown when Loviatar's Manor fell and she came back as an undead abomination, but since she doesn't have a tombstone at Nethjet, well...maybe she got better. :P )

So what else would be my best options for getting back up to speed here?

(And accept my condolences, Thayan. Losing a hard drive always sucks. Been there, done that several times. That's why I paid $99 for Seagate's File Recovery for Windows and installed it to a flash drive. It works. :) )

Totally up to you, but I can apply the one-time bonus XP to your current PCs, and then you can use the quick level option to make up a new one to replace one of the other ones you would like to play. If you do want the bonus applied to any PC, just send me a PM with the exact spelling of their name(s).

Just a friendly reminder that as of today, 1 month remains for the return incentives listed on the first thread of this page.

If you have a ton of gold in your vault, I'd highly suggest you spend it as a part of any large bank account will likely be 'confiscated by the zulkirs' come Dec 1, and enchantment forge prices will no longer be reduced by 50%.

Also, I know there are a number of people who shot up from level 1 to 15 in the 6 weeks (or less) since they went into effect. So if you feel your PC is close, or possibly beyond, where they were before the crash at the end of August, you may want to take this last month to work on a new PC (assuming you don't have more than 3 already). Leveling this quickly is not something I would like to see in any other 'normal' scenario, so I'd encourage everyone to take advantage of the fallout from the big crash since I don't ever intend to do double notoriety and XP rewards again - or at least not for months at a time. ;)

This is a last reminder that there remains only two weeks before the double notoriety and XP rewards go back to normal, as well as the cost at the enchantment forges.

Of particular note as well, the ability to Quick Level a new PC to level 5 in the Mind's Eye area, or the automated incentive #3 in the first post of this thread will also be going away at that time. If you do have an existing PC that was created prior to September 20 who you want to have automated incentive #3 applied to, send me the *exact* spelling of their name and I'll get it setup and applied on the live server within 2 days.

And as an FYI - I cannot stress enough that you should spend down any horde of gold you may have accumulated before December 1. At that time zulkirs will resume confiscation of a portion of large vault accounts, and the occasional NPC may steal from rich PCs who are carrying around what would amount to a sack (not just a purse) of gold in their inventory.
