Regarding The Vengeful PCs
#1
Due to IC events from the Deserved Damnation campaign, PCs who die and return from the Fugue will be undead creatures based on their predominant class and overall level. This change is *primarily* meant to be cosmetic. So as long as their appearance changes - please do not report any bugs on them!

These PCs should get Undead Properties applied to them on login. Things like Turn Undead *should* affect them, bandages *shouldn’t* work on them, healing spells and potions *should* harm them, negative energy spells (like Negative Energy Burst) *should* heal them, and so on.

However, there is a good chance there will be bugs associated with these PCs. Unfortunately, I just didn’t have the time or desire to script an entire undead subrace setup for the short amount of time that is left for this world-ending setting. So please just keep in mind that an undead PC is primarily ‘undead’ for appearance sake as far as game mechanics go. While I have tried to setup a few game mechanics to take into account undead PCs, I’ve likely overlooked or missed some changes to make them 100% undead. So take issues with them in a stride and either overlook them or, if absolutely necessary, reach out to a DM for assistance.

Finally, a few points of consideration for those PCs who do willingly pledge themselves to the Vengeful as either mortals (by going to the tomb in the Bezantur Main Crypt) or returning from the dead as an undead creature:
1. These PCs will not have undead patrolling the streets of towns/cities go hostile to them even if the PC was/id a Red Wizard or Thayan Knight. Nor should the infinite spawning occur if they do kill an undead patrol - but should their masters find out they are attack and killing undead in service to the Vengeful, shit could really hit the fan for them.
2. Those who pledge themselves to the Vengeful will never die. Ever. But if you think that’s a good thing…think carefully. While the promise of immortality may likely provide an irresistible IC temptation for some characters (and maybe irresistible OOC temptation for some players), nothing so powerful comes without a hefty price. Payment will be collected...eventually...
3. All PCs pledged to the Vengeful will have their god switched to Velsharoon. For some PCs this may be a bigger problem than others.
4. Faction status and notoriety is preserved regardless of whether your PC willingly, or unwillingly though death, pledges to the Vengeful. Again, for some PCs this may be a bigger problem than others.
5. Undead PCs will not be considered ‘monsters’ by Thayan commoners. Again, this may not be 100% accurate considering all that is going on, but at some point OOC consideration needs to be given to certain game mechanics to continue allowing PCs and locations to be ‘playable’ - for now. This, however, will likely change after December 15. You have been warned...

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this major change, post here!
