"If you respawn on a caravan or ship journey, you will always be saved by its NPC leaders and awake at your destination. However, the trauma and story of your near death reduce your XP and notoriety."

A group of us were wondering about this when Korina died on a caravan trip two nights ago and the rest of us couldn't raise her. It's nice to know that you never have to worry about losing items if you die on a trip. :)

I was on a caravan trip and it got attacked, I couldnt work out how to jump out and help because i was locked in, when I talked to the person in the caravan he never said anything about helping, it was as if nothing was happening, I thought I read somewhere you can help fight?

If the battle is resolved before you get outside, the door shuts and the trip continues.

Sometimes there's a bug where if you transform into a Lycan or something on board the caravan it'll trap you on it. Not sure, but it could be something along those lines (minus the Lycan part).

I have noticed if you are under a certain level, the leader tends to resolve it alone. The caravan doors stay closed.

Nope it will resolve at any level. Now if you are a higher level more than likely the caravan driver or ships captain is fighting higher spawns.

In my experience, the caravan curtains stay open until fight is resolved.

Many wait for awhile and then assist the driver as by then usually the driver has the attackers almost at death's door.

As for the doors staying closed and fighting continues listen again to when the drover says that they are on the road again. The fight is over but the sounds of fighting still can be heard.

Now that I think about it, the Caravan Leader must be a pretty forgiving guy if he always saves dead player-characters, considering how many times my characters have angered him with the occasional wayward Iron Horn, Cone of Cold or misclicked Knockdown. Has any character ever been killed by the Caravan Leader himself, I wonder? :P

Yes. He doesn't like poorly aimed magic missiles and rays of frost either.. though I've always been lucky and had other pcs along to pick my butt up off the ground. He stops being mad as soon as he drops you. :)

Yes Ani it does resolve itself at all levels, but the point I was making was that when my characters have been under lvl 5 the wagon doors don't open, the wording still comes up, 'the caravan lurches to a stop' but within a few seconds the next set of words come up saying 'you hear the caravan leader shout to all to get moving again' or words to that effect. :)
