Sooo... I am hearing good things so far about the new windows :) This is good. I admit i am sorta shakey about an upgrade on my system though i may very well do a full system backup to tape and then try it... that way i can go back if i don't like it.

Plus....well i have a lot of programs working well ATM but are registered to this specific computer...sorta worried that if i upgrade it may void my license or some nonsense like that... anyone have any idea how that works?

I'm not sure...but if the programs you have, are registered to the computer, I would have thought the upgrade shouldn't affect them.

None of my programs/apps were affected, apart from new ones added lol.

But it may be worth your while reading up on the microsoft forums.

Yes.. They are registered to the computer, these are things like my tape-drive and 3d modeling software... the DRM on those things sometimes will unregister the program if it "thinks" its on a new system even though that may not be true (then you have to go through this whole mess with customer service).

Bela is correct. The only things that were affected were some minor games however the website that hosts them is working on it. If you wish to be extra safe just back up your custom items on an external drive.

I do not have any I pads or I phones just my desktop.

Some have asked me to join Skype.

For those who have it what are your feelings?
