Regarding the 150 Item Personal Inventory Limit
#1
I think this is a good idea. I have seen it implemented on another pw.

Two exceptions were made:

Your equipped gear did not count.

Stackable items like potions and scrolls which I think max out at 10, counted as one item. So you had one stack of ten cure wound potions not ten potions.

I agree too, I personally didn't realise that this was a problem with lag on the server and I shall clear out all my unneeded stuff as soon as possible in my homes and in the vaults.

I do have one question though......Most of the gear I have in the vault are basics in case my character dies. Most of my characters have fugued several times leaving them almost naked and without weapons to try to retrieve their pack... ie...clothing and basic weapons and some health potions and/or bandages. Will these still be safe or am I to clear those out too?

It kinda sucks that there's going to be a clean out, but as long as you get everything out of persistent storage before it happens, I guess you can put it back as soon as it is over? I mean, I think it would be hard if you have a faction building with storage in it that a pc owns, and they would have to go through, clear everything out, and then once the reset is done, they would have to put it all back, and they might want to sort it out in a very specific way, which might take quite a bit of time.

Thanks Trio.

If I have read Thayans thread right, then we will have time to do that, so when it happens, I shall just make sure to clear the chests and refill them with the basics.

Believe it or not 150 item limit is alot. :) I too have back-ups in case I fugue and also I use storage for food stuff to entertain.

I have saved so called possible items but ironically I get the opposite to search for. :D

Right.

As far as what you keep in persistent storage, that is completely up to each of you. If most people disregard the warning about loading up storage with ‘crap’, then the purge will come sooner rather than later. But things you really need (like basic gear for those just-in-case moments), or really, really want - feel free to store.

Thanks Thayan.

That has answered my question perfectly. On the other notes, I am clearing out my packs of things not needed yet, I didn't realise that collecting these items before ready to take the quest was classed as metagaming or a lag problem too.

On that note, my PCs don't want your excess quest materials please pawn them off on someone else.

I tend to just have back-up clothing and weapons in storage in case I decide to play my character a little more after M.A saves run out. At which point that's usually deletion in my books

One suggestion is to increase the amount of gold the merchants and Quartermasters have in regards to their ability to buy? Or perhaps a task can be scripted in with the NPCs that a player can take to go to the bank with a note to the vault keeper to have more gold sent to the merchant from the merchants account in order to reset the gold amount that the merchant does have?

I know personally there have been times where I have items on Maia that I have to hold onto because there is no gold on the Quartermaster or merchants.

For example it is 12:00 pm CST and the Quarter Master is already out of gold.
