Here's the obligatory "I'm not afraid of either" option, because in trying to look like fearless bad-asses, people show that they're too afraid to face their own fears, which makes them the worst kind of coward and we should pity them.

I've been on several servers too, my dear. I like this one the most, of course, but I've been around. ;)

WillowWhite! Yes, you there. In the back. Say something. :P

Oh, okay. I guess that'll do, you cube fighter you. :P

So the aballins are trouncing the gelatinous cubes by a landslide, I see. They are pretty nasty, and yet they show up earlier than the cubes do. Why is that?

Sooo... which is the one that drowns you? Or is that both of the dreaded jellies?

It's just the aballin. Like a water elemental, it chops off half its own Hit Points to unleash its Drown-ish attack. So if you survive that (and avoid getting chain-paralyzed by the crazy thing), you have an easier time handing the aballin a beatdown. But in my experience, that's a pretty big "if".

I'm more scared of the regular jellies that duplicate when you slay them...

I'm trying to up my characters average CR, and multiple CR 1-2 creatures doesn't help at all! :)

Oh, the ochre jellies? They're not really that much of a hassle; the more you split them into smaller jellies, the weaker those jellies get. The only real time that they become a threat is when you have to run away but you've been backed into a corner by eight of the little buggers because you just can't help but whack one of them with an Attack of Opportunity every time they skirt around for a better angle of attack....

But until a high Average CR gives me an actual perk besides bragging rights, I'm not going to worry about it. <removed spoiler> :)

I admit I run from them when I see other dead badguy corpses lying about and realize, 'Oh Crap' its a dread cube, unless I am badass enough to kill it! Then I am like.. 'whatever.'

Hey! Put that spoiler valuable public service announcement back where you found it! :P

(And there's something surreal about watching an aballin "digest" an ochre jelly to death. Have you ever seen that?)
