That is until the 'Real' man returns, bitch-smacks cyric for his part of his portfolio back, and the mad-god runs back crying like the wuss he is. :)

And at that point, Vincent's soul will sit down with a glass of mead, several beautiful virgin loviatans, and drink to the resurrection of the 'True' god of fear and hatred!

...yeah I went there.

Might I add...

T'was the mightily dainty Torm who hath defeated Bane... stalwart and true, then the boy-lover and sucker of Thumbs Cyric who hath stolen his power - most for shame was he.

But it is always and forever the mighty lash, the suffering whip, and pleasing sting - Loviatar which brings the man called Bane to heel.

ALL HAIL LOVIATAR!!! MAIDEN OF PAIN!!! THE WILLING WHIP!!! AND CONSORT TO BANE!!!

Said it right there... consort. She's welcome so long as she keeps giving Bane that sting in his loins. Hurt's so good, am I right?

All part of the plot baby. Them Time of Troubles was a dangerous era. Why not sucker the masses into thinking you dead, only to return in a most bad-ass 80's style 'Villain Resurrection'? Not a bad way to spread, ya know, fear!

I confess I haven't really read all the posts in this thread (although the IC post about the death was a very enjoyable read), however -

I do want to give kudos to theredknight_x for having the willpower to let a dead character remain dead. Just because the option to return to the living is there doesn't mean it needs to be taken.

So you have my thanks at least, and I hope other players begin to follow your lead in this regard as well.

Thank you, thank you. I'm here all week.
