Recently, in Bezantur, around old Myrkul's temple, a young man named Damien Sholter can be found offering free healing services and preaching the gifts of Velsharoon to whoever hear its call. He presents its god as a way to vanquish death and decay, almost as a kind of new medecine, proving it through minor miracles. Some Red Wizards apprentices have lent an ear to his preach and showed some interest. Maybe a new religion is arising on the ashes of Old Myrkul's faith throughout Thay...

Damien Sholter has been preaching and debating within Myrkul's old temple for a few weeks now. Some of the followers of Myrkul have lent a favorable ear to his words but it seems that the main leaders are still relunctant to start any discussion with him.
((OOC: what would be the IG reaction of the followers of Myrkul towards my PC for preaching in their temple? Any chance to plan a DM session to interact with them someday? or maybe through posts? =) ))

((OOC: There are not really that many Myrkulites left, most of them have converted to Cyric, and the few who still go to the temple are usually not primarily Myrkulites, and mainly pay him respect because they do not believe he is truly dead, or simply out of habit. It is generally frowned upon to preach a deity within the temple of another (except in the case of Triad or racial deities, which are unique in that respect). You would probably be asked, politely, to leave the premises. ))

Damien had been firmly asked by the nostalgiac followers of Myrkul to leave their temple and preach outside of their sacred place. Nevertheless, Damien is never far from it, offering his life to Velsharoon service.
(looking for players wanting to help creating Velsharoon clergy and set regular sessions, please post your availabilities and we'll set a meeting time, hoping to have a DM to gracefully watch upon our cause :p )
