Making Moo-Lar

Other than farming the Crypts, is there any other ways of making Talons? It seems the only way i can make a profit (Due to bandages, healing etc) Is to find a high value magic item.

Any help? Or am i just being dense?

There are also the Sewers and many other dungeons for higher up people, tho grinding is not the only way to make money, RP sometimes can make you abit of gold.

I dont know a way to earn coins without farming really, except ofcourse Slaveing (Tho that is in someway farming an area too..) But you could make coins through RP, by perhaps doing favors for people and such.

What about quests? There are many different types of quests, some yielding good talons.

Farming is definitely not the only way to make money. Slaving is definitely one. And quests are a very good way as well. Although you may often get the 'fetch me this item(s) from this dangerous place' quest, those types of quest are only 2 of the 9 that we have in Thay. Plus, if you know where to look and you have the right skills, you can avoid the fetch me quests from a dangerous area altogether if you don't like them. See the first paragraph under Quest Tips in this thread for some examples of where to look for specific types of quests.

I strongly advise against farming the same areas over and over again. DMs have the ability and (some of us, like me) have the strong desire to start throwing uncommon obstacles at PCs we see in the same areas over and over and over.... ;)

Roleplaying Options to make money are vast on this server..

Besides the Merchant faction's ability to earn enough notoriety to open there own shop..

The legion regulary takes tribute from citizens eager to prove their loyalty to the tharch (and avoid a beating)

The red wizards, some of them famously, leavy fines for minor infractions at their whim.

Pc clerics could EASILY undercut the npc clerics prices for priestly services.

Certain individuals have made a killing creating magic items for others with more gold than XP to spare.

Thieves regualry break into houses and knick peoples stuff...it's what they do.

The many quest items available in the game (knuckles, bellies, wyvern blood, ettercap glands to name a few) can be procured and sold or traded to others.

Bards...or would be bards could preform for money.

Join in when their are pc duels in the slave pit or bet on the outcomes...

And lastly....it's an evil land...mug people.

Just a few ideas.
