Temples and Lycanthropy
#1
Don't mind me; I'm just passing through. The new job's keeping me busier than most any other job I've ever had.

Anyway, quick question: Have all of the temples and their priests stopped curing lycanthropy as part of their services?

As far as I know, you have always had to wait until the Full Moon if the priest isnt high enough level.

Well, that's the thing: Every priest offers a "Remove Curse" option (which doesn't work) if you have lycanthropy, but you know how those certain higher-level priests at certain influential temples offer a "Cure Disease" option (which does work) if you're afflicted? That option's gone now.

You're doing it wrong if you're going anywhere but your God(dess)'s temple on the full moon to get the curse cured.

Not quite true. ;)

So apparently the "Cure Disease" option is still available through those certain priests at certain temples, and it only goes away if your character has had lycanthropy for X amount of time; if you get infected and get to one of those special temples right away, they'll still cure your lycanthropy. Just don't dally around for a month while getting bogged down with your Real Life job before you do it.

It's not all that hard to find one of those sufficiently powerful temples. Bezantur has two or three of them. Most cities and towns have one. Even South Alaor has one. Getting a quick cure before you wolf out and burst out of your prized Full Plate +3 shouldn't be that much trouble. Failing that, every temple has a Remove Curse option, and using it on a day (or night, if you miraculously resist the involuntary change or twice-as-miraculously shift back to your normal form) of the full moon should work.

Just remember: If your character's infected, either switch to cheap clothing or get naked before you log off. The last thing you want is to log back on during a full moon night and immediately rip up your best armor or clothing. That kernel of foresight is the reason why Corella lost one of her spare disguises (which don't cost all that much to make), rather than her expensive Leather Armor of Awesomesauce.

(The PC wererat model's animations aren't working, by the way.)
