GoFT Mercenary Contract Terms Updated

Due to complaints from their "mercenary products" about being treated little more than pack slaves who can hold a sword, the Guild of Foreign Trade has updated contract terms to enforce inventory limitations on all mercenaries hired through them. As a result, mercenaries will no longer carry more than 25 items beyond those they have equipped, and they will not carry magically forged items that their master, and by extension, they themselves, cannot use.

Contract signatories utilizing the guild of Foreign Trade's mercenary services, which the Guild wishes restore as that of the "highest quality," are strongly encouraged to consider their mercenaries more of an adventuring companion or bodyguard than anything else and, accordingly, provide them primarily with just equipment and items they can use.

Note: These changes are primarily to reduce sometimes-intensive AI script calls every 6 seconds that cycle through all items in a NPC's inventory to determine if there is a "Best One" they can use during combat. But in addition, alternate persistent storage options should be considered for all that extra stuff which is really, truly, absolutely needed, which the mercenary cannot use, but the player feels the PC must absolutely keep.
