There's no reason for a "horrid forum battle." BW couldn't use 2 or 2.5 because there's no way WotC would allow that to happen. Bards can wear chainshirts in NWN. Bards casting in light armor wasn't applied at all in NWN, so whether or not a chainshirt is light or medium doesn't matter there either. Giving a bard free rapier proficiency would have been a nice touch, but even that isn't as big a deal as dwarves not getting dwarven waraxes for free.

Bards (and rangers, especially rangers) are "better" in 3.5 than they were in 3.0.

I don't imagine such changes will be implimented on Thay, however, as I'm almost certain they would require haks or overrides.

My random thought -
All out of soda. Need to go to the store and get more.

Oh yeah...and figured out how to allow all dwarves to wield dwarven axes and bards to wield rapiers without having to do a hak. Trying to decide if really implementing that would be a good idea, or if it would only lead to more things that some might want to be 'fixed' per se from Bioware rules to 3.0 or 3.5 rules....

But really though.... Soda.

Nothing, and I mean nothing! Tastes better than the cedar planked salmon they serve in the Mythos Restaurant in Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure.
