Moving Forward Incentives

The beggar is notoriety based, so I would assume you can talk to him and be done with him pretty quickly for that little bit of experience.

Yup - exactly what Dark Shadow said. It' will be 'one quest and done'. If you want to skip him altogether though, you can just speak to the faction recruiter.

I'd also recommend doing so before you level up. I levelled up first, then talked to him, and he sent me off to Nethjet, which I really didn't feel like doing at that point :/

Fortunately, what he wanted was two hundred bucks at the Temple of Waukeen, but still.

That being said, going directly to the faction leader is probably the least immersion-breaking way of going about it

A few updates on additional incentives:
1. I'd like to reiterate that you first try to rebuild with what automated incentives are provided before asking for anything in addition to that. Use up that bonus gold for [something] rather than sticking it in the vault before requesting more.
2. Requests for quest reward items will be declined since they can all be obtained with what I consider a 'reasonable' amount of in-game time and effort. Not only that, you're getting double notoriety and XP for doing them again this time around.
3. I am primarily concerned with, at the most, 2 PCs per player getting 'close' to where they were as of the crash. Sending requests for extra stuff for all 3 of your PCs will likely result in at least one getting declined outright. Again - this is a fairness issue to everyone and not because I'm trying to be a dick. A person's third PC, if you had one, will most likely need to be rebuilt entirely by the player without receiving additional benefits.
4. I have not responded to a number of requests and I may not. However I am compiling all that is needed/accepted. If you haven't heard back from me, likely consider your request accepted and 'in queue'. Deeds won't be distributed until after the clock jumps forward to 1362 DR, and others will be provided as time and schedules allow.

Important: I'd suggest all PCs with merchants fire them and get your merchant license within the next couple real-time days. RL events have come up for me and I may not be around this coming weekend. If that is the case, it is currently my intention to move the in-game clock forward to 1362 DR sometime before Friday. The Mystryl's Curse thread will have an update as to when that has happened.

Overall I am quite pleased with this. I suggest those who have returned yet do so.

If I've understood correctly, moving the game clock to 1362 will result in a large amount of notoriety for everyone because all characters will have been "inactive" for ~2 years game time?

This isn't a complaint, as the bonus notoriety compensates for it, I'm just trying to make sure I understand.

It should not effect the notoriety when the clock springs forward. It is a real time clock for the leveling, not game time.

Right, notoriety is not slowly lost over time anyway. Even if someone is inactive for 2 in-game years and returns, they are still just as notorious.

Due to an exploit with the automated incentives, I'm afraid that from here on out I will need to have people send me the name of up to the two of their existing PCs that they want to receive the benefits list in automated benefit #3. I will then explicitly set them up to receive those benefits for a future server reset. Note that I will accept these requests until December 1, but it needs to be for a PC(s) created prior to September 20.
