I just joined the server about two days ago; after playing on Forgotten Realms: Pirate Isles for 15 months straight, I've decided that it's time to stretch my legs and go walkabout. Before PI, I was on Castlevania: Vampire's Kiss, where I played a Transylvanian arch-Transmuter and where I met Fenriloftheice, who came to this server and tried to bring me along when C:VK folded. So now that I've decided to put my ex-piratey, temple-building, high-Level Cleric of Umberlee on mothballs (at least for the time being) along with Pirate Isles, I figured I'd finally take Fenril's advice and come here. :)

The DMs and the players alike have already made me feel perfectly welcome over these last two days, so I'm really glad that I made the change! I've also taken the opportunity to go to the other side of the Evil spectrum with Tristella d'Flagellad.

Keeping true to my love for roleplay-friendly characters with non-stereotypical builds, I have to say that everyone should play a Fighter with a strong Charisma at least once. Of course, that Charisma helps if you're angling for a certain evil Prestige Class which is unfortunately stereotyped into endless parades of shallow, quasi-medieval Darth Vader clones....

(Tristella looks more like a white-leather-wearing dominatrix. Do we have any Blackguards that look like that yet? :P )

Anyway, hi, sorry I took two days to post and introduce myself, how are ye? :)

Yeah, the whip is an undervalued weapon. As soon as I pick up Mobility, those Disarm attempts won't be so scary. And I already picked up Weapon Finesse and a few other whip-friendly Feats, of course. You would think that the whip would come with some kind of bonus to Knockdown attempts, though; just loop the ankles and yank really hard, right? Catwoman does that stunt all the time. ;)
