...why can't I enslave the flocks of assassins that attack me all the time? Is this intended?

Just to make this clear, this has always been so... well, when using the shackles on them there is a msg. - don't kill me when I can't recite it 100%: "You can only enslave creatures that have been hostile to you and/or are humanoid" like this. I'll check on the next attack.

OK - that helps narrow down what part of the code is being fired at that time. I'll see what I can do to switch that.

I guess the assassins are just not flaged to be enslaveable. BTW I have doubts about other creatures too, I was able to shackle a harpy once - but hey, I'm by no means a slave expert...:-/
